Today I threw a baby shower brunch for one of my good friends Jessica, who is having a little boy in August. I am going to apologize ahead of time because taking pictures is not my strong suit. I forgot to take some important ones, such as the food actually on the buffet and of the people!
I had no idea what to do with this huge wall when I started thinking about decorations for the shower. I ended up making two strands of garland and then putting the baby's name in the middle.
To make the garland I used scrapbook paper, pages out of a old book, and some scraps of burlap.
Jessica is decorating with old farm trucks and tractors, so I picked up some wooden ones from the $1 bin at Micheal's and spray painted them blue.

Luckily my great-grandmothers hydrangeas bush was in full bloom so I had plenty of fresh flowers.
My mom made two types of quiche, chicken spinach and sausage cranberry, so yummy! We also had fruit and pasta salad and a lemon blueberry muffin along with the thumbprints for a little something sweet.
Jessica looked great and was a wonderful guest of honor! I can't wait to meet little Jack!
P.S. I am going to try and learn to use the correct settings on my camera...and remember to take more pictures!
What lovely decor! The pictures are great, even without food or people. I'm sure a good time was had by all.
