Happenings

The exterior painting saga continues...  I started second guessing my choice of Dovetail Gary a couple weeks again and went back to Sherwin Williams to re-evaluate.  I came home with a darker gray and have decided that it is way too dark and we will for sure be going with Dovetail.  So that settles that.  Now to find a painter.  I have gotten two quotes so far and the difference between them was huge.  I called the painter who had the less expensive of the two quotes to come back and go over everything...well turns out he did not understand that I actually want the brick painted in addition to all the trim...thus the price difference!  So we are still waiting on his revised quote along with one other painter.  I have gotten the same reaction each time I say I want the brick painted, "you what...why would you want to do that?"  Well because my house is practically orange, all I need to do is paint a big with "T" on the roof and you have the headquarters for the Tennessee Vols!  I am exaggerating a little...but it is pretty orange.

I scored this wonderful round wicker table a couple weekends ago when I was out junkin with my mom.  I think it fits perfect between my two occasional chairs in the living room.  Don't you love the chippy white paint!

I have been eating well thanks to Rich.  He is the best cook!  We are so excited for all the fresh summer veggies that will soon be coming in.

Besides eating...I helped a friend with her little sister's wedding shower and it turned out so cute.  For her wedding she is doing a lot of burlap and lace which I love.  Here are a few pics from the shower.

This was a great idea thought of by one of the bridesmaids.  You take a popsicle stick and write a fun date night idea on it for the couple.

The cake not only looked great but tasted great as well.  I love the design!
