PINK
I love pink, but not all over the bathroom! Our master bathroom is really strange, one side is his and the other side is hers. I have plans to make the pink side a walk in closet for myself! I am really excited! Don't worry Rich has two whole closets to himself :)
My "A Team" worked on getting the 300 pound PINK bathtub out and all the pink tile down this weekend.
Someone could probably do something really cute with this tub...maybe put it in their garden...I don't know...
I do like this wallpaper that Christopher uncovered! I would have loved to see the "her" side of the bathroom in it's glory day with pink tub, pink vanity, and oh so pink wallpaper!
This is what it looks like today, still so much to do! I am hoping once we are done it will look something like these pictures!
P.S. I still love watching the HILLS re-runs...

Marking Off The TO DO's
I feel like I have not really been doing much house related stuff with the exception of adding to our To Do list... Here is what we knocked out last week.
Some of the sub flooring needed to be replaced.
New sheet rock is almost all the way up in the kitchen. You may recall that it was covered with a grey backsplash that was impossible to get off with out tearing up the wall so we just replaced all the sheet rock. Not sure why Rich is sitting down on the job...
Me on the other hand, I am sitting down because of our nightmare trim.
The trim has one coat of latex paint and then on top of it a coat of oil base. The surface was not properly prepped so the paint literally just peels off in little strips. So what to do? I along with the majority of people out there I thought it needed to all be peeled off before sanding, priming, and painting.
Now peeling this off as my dad said, " Is very labor intensive, about a 200 man hour job." He is right...as I have learned over the years sometimes the hard way, your parents are almost always right and you should head their advice! So he suggested that I at least test out a spot by directly applying the paint to the trim. Well I have been testing and so far so good! I rubbed down the trim with alchohol, primed it with a latex primer, and then applied latex paint in Acadia White. After all this I went and got trim samples because I want to put back a bigger base board and add crown moulding everywhere, right now it is just in the living/dining rooms. I am not sure that what I picked out goes with what is already up So the saga continues.

Paint
Although I did not do any manual labor today I did pick paint, which is huge! My " A Team" knocked out the new drainage system and hopefully our water problems are behind us!
Benjamin Moore- Galveston Grey for the outside of the house. The soffets will be a off white color and the shutters and the front doors will be navy.
Benjamin Moore- Manchester Tan for almost all the walls inside the house. When I say almost all the walls I mean everything but the man room and powder room. Rich will be picking his own paint color...for his room and I think I am going to do wall paper in the power room, nothing to crazy...!
Benjamin Moore- Acadia White for the trim and all the doors inside.
So while the girls were picking out paint and doing a little shopping the boys "got her done."
Rich, Christopher, and Dad dug the trench, laid down pipe, and solved our water problem!
The 160ft trench...
This is such a huge thing to mark off our list! I know the boys are glad it is behind them because it was so labor intensive! They did a GREAT job!
Earlier in the week Rich tore down the old deck and mom and I are going to use the weathered wood to make outdoor tables.
As I mentioned we did a little shipping today. Tile for the master bath? I like it, but Rich was not a huge fan.
Rich did like this tile for the back splash in the kitchen. His exact words were, "I really like this, I hope you choose this one!" I think I will!
As you can see I am going with a very neutral color palette. The fact that I chose tan walls instead of white is huge! I just like the fact that with neutral walls you can change all your decor with out the chore of painting, and I like the clean fresh look it gives! We have so much more to do but we are on our way...I hope we are in before Christmas..at least that's our goal! Thanks again to my "A Team" and my two decorators! xoxo

Fall
With kids going back to school and school supplies out at all the stores I can't help but be excited that fall is right around the corner!
Even though I have been out of school for awhile I still pick up a few notebooks and markers....I have always had an obsession with school supplies.
I am ready to wear boots.
And blazers
I don't think we will be in the house until Christmas so I probably want be doing any fall decorating but this wheel barrel filled with pumpkins is so cute.
Camp fires
Chili!
I can't wait for my favorite season so I can enjoy all these things!
